Classic mountain cabin dating to 1790, lovingly restored to a charming and comfortable place to hang your hat. Constructed from massive hand-hewn chestnut logs, located on a densely wooded 1 1/2 acres offering relative seclusion and winter mountain views. Sovereign Oaks is a one-of-a-kind community with amenities including a swimming hole, apiary, and hiking trails that link to neighboring Warren Wilson trails. Head down the driveway and follow the trail past the pond to visit the nearby community bamboo grove with a screened porch and tree house.

The cabin's inviting covered porch offers peaceful vistas and room to gather. The open living room and kitchen are on the main level. Great natural light pours through plentiful kitchen windows including the bay window above the sink - a great spot for kitchen herbs. The kitchen has a clever built-in dining bar, vintage knotty pine cabinetry and open shelving, a refrigerator, and a gas stove. An open pantry offers additional storage. The small main floor bedroom has an en suite bathroom with a shower. The entirety of the upper level is a large bedroom suite, including a bathroom with a bathtub/shower. The clothes washer and dryer hookups are located in this bedroom space. A picture window has lovely views of the pond down the hill.

The mini split system includes two wall units downstairs and one upstairs, providing thermostat-controlled heating and cooling for the cabin. Septic system in place. Tenant responsible for all utilities including propane (for the Jotul stove in the living room and the gas range), water, and electricity. Tenant responsible for landscaping upkeep and mowing grass. No cosigners. No smoking. One pet negotiable.
