A : Individual leases are a great choice for college students who are looking for an off campus apartment! With an individual lease, your rent includes your room, bathroom, and shared living space, and all of the amenities the college apartment complex has to offer. One of the great pros is that if your roommate breaks his or her lease, you are not responsible for all of the rent. It adds a great feeling of safety and security, so you don't have to worry about finding money to cover your roommate's portion of the rent. If you are looking for a luxury apartment near the University of Florida, I suggest The Bartram or The Estates. If you are looking for something a little quieter, Campus Lodge is a great off campus apartment complex. If you are looking for something a little less expensive, check out Campus Club or Gateway at Glades! Good luck with your apartment search.

If you don't have a car, I suggest bringing a bike. Also, UF puts out this awesome calendar for all events happening at the school! This apartment complex is pretty great. The meditation garden was my favorite. I always felt safe and it was one of the cleanest places I've lived.
